 It is an alphabetical dictionary of social, Islamic, and empirical sciences. It contains 3, 045 Persian and Arabic entries. The definitions are based on the Quran, hadiths of the Infallibles (`a), and the views of the respective members of each scientific branch. Each entry is
followed by its English equivalent and definition. References to Persian texts are included in the footnotes. In the introduction, the author elaborates on his intention in writing the book and discusses the sciences whose terminology are dealt with in the book. There also is a preface by the publisher, which includes a note from the book of RafÌq al-`ajam on the importance of glossaries and a brief biography of the author.
