Abstract

Title: Improvisation, a Method of Artistic Exposition in Iran:A Research into the Principles of Islamic and Iranian Traditional Art This work is a research into the extemporaneous nature of the artistic exposition of Irano-traditional art written in a descriptive analytical structure. The author, being aware that some subjects of this research have no precedent in the history of Iranian traditional art, or bear a particular significance in the Islamic tradition, endeavors to examine the concept of tradition and referring to historical sources proves improvisation among different branches of Iranian art and culture.
